I don't light paint as much anymore but I still love it. Since it had been a long time some friends, my wife, and I went out on Monday to stretch the old light painting muscles. Light painting is always a little slow at first but once we got in the groove we had a good time and ended up with some good pictures. There is a lot you can do in the dark with some LED lights and a long exposure. I suggest you try it out some time and if you are ever down in Saint George give me a call, and lets go make some cool pictures.

Dance is something I have been working on for a little while now and it is a challenge. I started my dance series with my wife as the first model a couple years ago and have been working on it ever since. It is a ton of fun. Here are a couple from a few weeks back up at Pine Valley Utah. I have some fun ideas for more dance that I can't wait to do so check back soon.

Well I haven't posted since February and I have a list of about 20 things to post about. So here is the first of many. These are from a senior/prom shoot I did for my sister in-law. While out exploring for locations for a product shoot my wife and I found this amazing little meadow near Willow Flats and decided we would shoot our products there but also that we would shoot Jennas portraits there as well. I think they turned out well and the location was amazing.

I made a light stencil! I have been wanting to make one of these since last year and never got around to it. We have some light painting portraits to shoot on Tuesday and I thought it would be a good tool for them. To test it out I made some pterodactyls and did a few shots in the drive way. It is pretty cool. There are a lot of possibilities with a stencil and I am excited to make some pictures with it. If you want to know how to make one there are quite a few "how to" videos out there.

It has been a month and a half or so since I have posted. I have been trying to stay busy making pictures, learning new things, and practicing. I recently bought the Tamron 90mm macro and a couple other prime lenses so I have been practicing with them as well as trying out back button focusing. It has been fun trying new things and just shooting more. With a new year starting I hope we all push our boundaries, learn awesome new things, make new friends, and make a ton of pictures. Happy New year.
