Night at the Dam

I went down to Hoover Dam late last night to take some shots of the bridge and the dam. Driving back home I saw these transmission towers jutting up out of the mountain bathed in orange red light so I had to stop and make a picture (and get hassled by the police).

Radar Sunset

Radar Mountain. Called so for the big antenna array on the top (you can see it on the right).

Fair Games

I couldn't resist taking this. The colored bowls with the fish in the center was just too cool.

Summer Poppies

There is a field of poppies in the Box Elder Campground in the summer that is worth seeing if you ever get the chance. It could be a half decent place for portraits too.

Ferris Wheel Fun

Ferris wheels are an easy fun long exposure anyone can do!

Exploring a Lava Tube

Some friends and I went up to Niter Ice Cave to do some exploring. It is really a long lava tube right in the middle of a field. It is wet and muddy and cold but it was fun.

Fair Cowgirl

I have to say this one looks much better in print.

Fun at the county fair!

Autumn in the Woods

Spent an early morning doing some portraits up in the woods with the Cache Valley Photographers.

Summer in Winter

This is from last winter. Every year the Cache Valley Photographers go to the university green house during the coldest part of winter as kind of a vacation from the freezing cold.

The Colors of Jones

I love Jones Soda. It is tasty, colorful and makes a great still life. I lit them from the bottom with two LED lights, one on each side.

Evening on the Island

Sometimes black and white just looks better than color even for a sunset.
I went to Antelope Island State Park and it was amazing! The sunsets there last forever and are full of color.

Summer Silhouettes

I went hiking over the summer up to the Old Juniper. When we got up to the old tree we found this rock outcrop with the sun right behind it. The only thing to do? Make some fun silhouettes!
